Dr. M. J. Miran grew up in Long Island, NY where he graduated from College and Medical School. He elected to purse Residency Training in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. After Completing his Residency, he served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Saint Peters University Hospital, training Medical students and Residents. Following his two years as Assistant Professor of Medicine, he began his Sleep Medicine Fellowship Training Program at Seton Hall University, training under two Sleep Medicine Pioneers: Dr. Chokroverty and Dr. Walters. Dr. Miran has been practicing Sleep Medicine for 11 years.
Dr. Miran’s interest in Weightloss dates back to his Residency Training. He was intrigued with Obesity and its impact on the patient’s overall health, as well as its impact on other co-morbid conditions. Dr. Miran sought advanced coursework at Harvard and Columbia achieved Board Certification in Obesity Medicine. He has successfully started a Medical Weightloss program from the ground up and has a strong track record managing highly complex cases. He is excited to provide his services to the wonderful people of Hagerstown and surrounding areas.
